Stay Updated and Aware
It is important to SARC to continue to be involved in the community through events year-round. Some of these events can involve fundraising opportunities if you would like to help support the mission in a financial way. Other events are simply to raise awareness and promote prevention initiatives to keep sexual assault from continuing to harm our family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors.
The best way to stay on top of future events is to follow our social media! There, you will get the first updates on what SARC is up to. We often use our social media pages to shout out impactful people, agencies, and team members as well as break myths and spread education on sexual violence and survivors.
Our social media are also good places to hear updates after events, learn of other activities SARC participates in, and access reports on our community impact. This information can also be delivered right to your inbox by subscribing to our Quarterly Newsletter.

Community Wellness Fair
The Georgia Department of Public Health and Family Connections are teaming up with Reduce Your Risk Breast Cancer Screenings to host a community wellness fair in Warren County. There will be multiple health and wellness organizations present, including SARC with an informational resource table.

Stronger Together
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM), and to start the month off right, SARC and the Augusta University Office of Student Wellbeing are hosting a kickoff event on AU campus. There will be multiple local organizations and agencies providing information, food and drinks for attendees, and free STD testing.

Jags Live Well Health & Wellness Fair
Augusta University's Office of Student Wellbeing and Student Health Services are hosting their 7th annual Health and Wellness Fair. SARC will be present with a resource table to join in on the interactive fun engaging with students to promote health and safety.

Teen Summit & Youth Forum 2026
The free Teen Summit & Youth Forum 2026 is a day for celebrating youth accomplishments and educating teens on personal safety and strong character. Guests Sheriff Brantley and Jay Jeffries will be present among other community leaders. SARC will have a resource table available as well.

Comfort Keepers is hosting a South Caroline-local resource fair. Agencies and organizations promoting health and well-being will be available for the public to learn about.

Speak Up: Empowering Youth Voices
Burke County Family Connection is giving its local youth a chance to speak their mind in the Waynesboro community. They will get to have discussions, raise questions, and speak on their concerns and suggestions. SARC will be in attendance with a resource table.

211 Day Resource Fair
The United Way of the CSRA is partnering with Piedmont Hospital to provide resources to the community in celebration of 211 Day. 2-1-1 is the United Way's free information helpline to receive referrals to organizations around the CSRA.

Health & Resource Expo
The Augusta Technical College of Georgia will be hosting their 4-day annual Health and Resource Expo with opportunities to connect with multiple local organizations with valuable services on mental and physical wellbeing for students. SARC will also be providing a table on each campus.

Annual Health & Wellness Fair
Medical Associates Plus and the GCCAC of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority will be hosting their Annual Health and Wellness Fair for all to attend. The event will include free health screenings, flu shots, blood donations, and multiple local organizations to connect with for resources, including a SARC table.
