The Coping Booklets

The coping booklets are comprehensive resources designed to provide survivors of sexual assault, as well as their family and friends, with the information and support they may need during the healing process. Created by the dedicated staff and volunteers at the Sexual Assault Response Center (SARC), these booklet address the physical, emotional, and legal aspects of recovery, offering practical guidance and reassurance.

As a part of SARC services, all survivors receive at least one of the following booklets. If you have misplaced your coping book or know of someone who may benefit from accessing it, you may download a copy below.

The Coping Book: Information for survivors and their support system

The Coping Book

Information for survivors and their support system

This Coping Book is the first that was developed at SARC by combining multiple materials, brochures, and resources. It contains information on the emotional and long-term impact of sexual violence, the criminal justice process, and helpful resources.

The Coping Workbook

Information for adolescent (11-18) survivors and their support system

This Coping Workbook is more interactive with exploring healthy relationships, consent, and other meaningful topics for survivors. SARC believes every teen deserves to know how to avoid abuse and toxic relationships and where to ask for help if they need it.
